A experiência de uma vida, superando obstáculos e fracassos. Procurando ao longo do tempo estar sempre atualizada, nos vários desafios pelos quais um bibliotecário se confronta, tanto no contexto da mudança tecnológica, como na alteração de um novo público alvo e, suas novas expectativas. Organizando e gerindo informação fidedigna, científica e sistémica.
Com os novos desafios surgem novas tarefas, como a edição de revistas e design.
Em 1985 tirou o Curso de Técnico Auxiliar de BAD na Casa do Infante, o Arquivo Histórico do Porto. Estagiou durante 6 meses na Biblioteca Pública Municipal do Porto na secção da Hemeroteca, sob alçada da Dra. Helena Braga da Cruz. Concorreu para a Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto em 1987 onde efetivou como funcionária pública, contudo não ficou a trabalhar na biblioteca uma vez que esta era praticamente inexistente.
Em 1989 concorre para a biblioteca da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto. Aqui desenvolveu os seus conhecimentos na área da biblioteconomia. Fez catalogação em linha, tarefa inserida num projeto criado pela biblioteca Nacional com vista à criação de um catálogo único.
Organizou a biblioteca particular do Professor Ferreira de Brito, organizou juntamente com uma colega a biblioteca do IBMC, hoje pertencente ao i3S, bem como a biblioteca de Jornalismo, hoje inserida na biblioteca dos SDI (Serviços de Documentação e Informação) da FLUP. Terminou a licenciatura de Ciência da Informação em 2010. Em 2013 começa a dar formação na área das bibliotecas escolares na FLUP.
Hoje faz parte da Unidade de Publicações dos SDI tendo a seu cargo a gestão de várias plataformas e a indexação de revistas publicadas pela FLUP em formato digital, em bases de dados mundiais.

In 1985 he took the BAD Assistant Technician Course at Casa do Infante, the Porto Historical Archive. She interned for 6 months at the Porto Municipal Public Library in the Hemeroteca section, under the supervision of Dr. Helena Braga da Cruz. She applied to the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto in 1987 where she worked as an civil assistent, however she did not stay to work in the library, as it was practically non-existent.
In 1989 she applied for the library of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto. Here she developed her knowledge in the field of library science. She carried out online cataloguing, a task included in a project created by the National Library with a view to creating a single catalogue.
She organized Professor Ferreira de Brito's private library, together with a colleague; She organized the IBMC library, now belonging to i3S, as well as the Journalism library, now part of FLUP's SDI (Documentation and Information Services) library. She finished her degree in Information Science in 2010. In 2013 she began providing training in the area of school libraries at FLUP.
Today she is part of the SDI Publications Unit and it is responsible for managing various platforms and indexing magazines published by FLUP in digital format, in global databases.
